A lot of people use the same lamp for flower and veg. If money is an issue I would just get the 600w HPS and use it for both. MH does work good for veg.

If money isn't too big a issue you could even get a dual ballast and have both lights run off the dual ballast and use the MH for veg and the HPS for flower!

Gonna need some serious ventilation to cool that 1000w mh! Save the world indeed! LOL

Best of luck to you! You will get some huge buds if you get everything right  Let us know how things go

    LOL my thoughts exactly!

1000watt MH is well.... a metric f***-ton (am i allowed to swear on these boards? ) for what looks like 4 plants in the first post lol. nothing at all wrong with that, but maybe a little overkill lol. this could be upwards of over 25k lumens per plant! and assuming you are doing to do 1000 watt HPS for flower.. .. well they output what? 150k lumens-ish? thats 37.5k lumens per plant! damn, that should produce some pretty damn fat buds lol

like everybody already said, i gotta say +1 to watch your heat

Yeah I would gp for a 600w instead. They are more efficient and create a lot less heat. If you decide to go with the 1000w start researching an air conditioner, because usually fans just aren't enough.

1000 watt is a great light bulb for your plants, but you need to have room for it, and cooling!

I went with a switchable 400 watter and I am pleased. The 600w wasn't too much more with hood and all but I don't really have the biggest bloom box . I would love to get 1k but damn thats some heat and electric sucker...
