Preparing a plant for clones
Right now I have two plants of Brainstorm which have been growing for a little more then two weeks. I'm going to need about 5 clones. I'm not sure whether it'd be better to take all 5 from the plant thats doing better or to take 2 to 3 from each one. My real question is how can train my plants to be optimized for taking clones from? I plan to take clones in month, maybe a little longer, and I don't want to screw anything up.
Also I should mention that the two plants are growing under cfls comfortably at 83 degrees in dixie cups. At some point in about a month or so I want to plant everything outside.AKickedBowl Reviewed by AKickedBowl on . Preparing a plant for clones
You need them to have four true sets of leaves or branch nodes. Cut the top out. If you let the top go enough it can be a clone. As the branches start to come out cut the main water leaf when it's about 4 inches long. When a branch get 2 sets of leaves top out the branch and then cut off the main branch leaves a about 3 inches long. You will have a huge bush before to long. It can get out of control
This is the method of the Phototrons to get the most budding sites. However photorons don't make good buds with fluro lights so we found it to be perfect for mothers and right now I just took 28 clones last week and need to take 30 to 40 more off of it. Even more next time.
