i am starting to get depressed, all up until i put my babies on the 12/12, things were going really well, plants were healthy, but now 2 weeks into flowering, , my girl has been showing some leaf damage, and on some of the newer shoots, around where the buds are starting to grow, the leaves look like they are burning off and twisted, on some the lower fan leaves are getting spotty.

i flushed them a week and a half ago, and i just added 1/4 tsp mg bloom booster to the water the day before yesterday., i was wondering if some one would know what i might do to correct my prob. by the way, this is my first grow. thank you.

So If it is just the lower fan leaves starting to wilt and spot. Then some one correct me if im wrong but usually they use the lower fan leaves up to feed the buds due to lack of light getting to them as well either way not a big deal. but if you have leaves coming out of your newly forming buds that don't looks so good then there might be a problem can you take a close up pic of such leaves? because if that is just your lower fan leaves in pics id say you are fine:thumbsup: Some one let him know if im wrong.

    Peace

judging by your pics, i'd guess overwatering. mj wants to get pretty dry between
waterings so you need to learn the 'heft' test. all that means is that you need
to learn what your buckets weight feels like when they're dry and when they're
wet, then you judge when to water by how heavy the pot feels.

i'd also suggest that you try and relax, remember that marijuana is a weed so it's
pretty damned hardy. also, if you're anything like me then there will be a second
grow followed by a third and so on, i haven't bought any weed in over a year now.
once you start smokin' your own grown, you'll never want to go back.

just so you know, when i started i popped 30 seeds and killed 30 seedlings.
for my second attempt i popped 30 more seeds and managed to keep 5 of
them alive (luckily, 4 turned out to be female).

then, last year i threw down and bought some seeds from a seedbank.
so my last attempt i popped 5 Pure Power Plant seeds and 5 White Rhino seeds
(this all happened almost exactly a year ago) and all of them are still
alive and providing me with cuttings for my little DrBud style SOG.

btw, i ended up with 5 White Rhino females and 4 PPP females.

    Aloha, TnG

You are in good hands here.

    Hey Bozo.
    Good call!
    Thought I'd add a couple pennies.:twocents:
I noticed that they sit on a carpet.
I'm guessing that you try to add" just enough" water to keep from having the tray overflow?
Looks like it was a watering issue.
It's a good idea to take the plant to the tub or shower when you water, then use at least as many gallons as the pot they are in.
Reason for this flush is simple.
The water running out the bottom creates a vacuum of sorts, kind of a vapor lock, that draws air in from the top behind the last of the water.
It also rinses out the salt buildup from the nutes

A dribble out the bottom does not.
"Careful" watering can cause the soil to saturate, stagnate, and drown the roots.

Are you using fertilizer? It kind of looks like a combination of over watering and nute burn.. Also what kind of soil is that? It looks alright but I would add a bit more pearlite next go round..

I'd also say it looks like a combination of overfertilizing (judging by those bumpy areas and contorted leaves) and maybe slightly overwatered (judging by the slightly droopy leaves). MG Bloom Booster is a heavy fertilizer, often used for uber-hardy perennials, so just be very careful how much of that you use.

You also didn't mention how often you're feeding with it. You don't want to use it every time you water, or you'll risk building up a bunch of salts and elements that aren't immediately being used by the plants. Also, what's the recommended dosage listed on the box? If it's 1/4tsp per gallon, you should consider cutting that at least in half (preferrably 1/4 of the recommended strength), and work your way up to see just how much the plants can tolerate. These plants are hardy enough, and can take a whole lot of abuse, but one of the most common mistakes made by new growers is simply loving their plants to death. Give it just some clean water for the next couple of waterings, and monitor the growth. If it clears up, start it back on 1/4-1/2 strength nutrients and go from there.

    Best of luck.

see, before i was using reg miracle grow, full strength as directed, but i was using it like ever 3-4 days, also i was watering like every other day, i thought my plants were liking it. when i put them into flowering they started to look like shit. i flushed them right before flowering, then i didnt give them anything for almost 2 weeks, besides a little water for the ones that needed it, then i give them that mg bloom booster, but less than half what was recommended. i am going to wait now until the soil is good and dry before i water again, its been like 3 days now.
im hoping that if i cut back on the water and the nutes, she"ll come back beautifully.
