Seems they do have a newer supply. I will keep you informed if they try to charge me or send two gratis. They did send a replacement for free already, but it was the poor design and so was useless.

The vendor (not the manufacturer) said I could open air mount the supplies and add a cooler. Yeah, I want to jury rig a new unit to work the way it should.

If I do receive the new supplies, I will buy a cooking thermometer and record the before and after temperatures.

I told them flat out if they fix the problem I will give them props here and elsewhere, if not I would spread the word to stay away.

Disregarding the heat issue, they are great for side-lighting (and the blue is awesome for seedlings) as they are so flat and are light-years ahead of the nearly useless 15 watt panels in terms of light output.
