cool, I love homedepot always plotting my next project when I'm supposed to be looking at a grill with the missus, or picking out bathroom fixtures. And thats whats so awsome about cfl- versatility. I would def go 5000k or 6500k-mess around thats the fun part. We're not cash croppin here, just some good old boys trying to grow some dank in small spaces.I cant freakin wait til its legal.

Very interesting and looks like fun. We'll know when the LED development has reached the level of hps when the commercial growers start using them. I think they have a ways to go though. But yours is the best example I've seen yet.

good set=up with the bulbs. I would pack some more medium around the stems and gently tie down the stretchier plants-train em while they're young. And get those cfls to within a couple inches of the tops of the plants. This should thicken those stems up.Keep up the good work- your plants have a home now, make them happy in it.Good to see persistance, and motivation on your part- the keys to success. peace

Hi Beef74,
So you recommend the U.F.O.s over the panels? Any particular reason?
I used to partake in the hobby with a 1000W HPS light. Heat and my electric bill were always concerns. I'm interested in getting started again, and I think LEDs would be the way to go. What do you think I would need to see similar results to a 1000W HPS?
Thanks!
