Hey everyone this is my first post on cannabis.com but I've been browsing here for a while now.

Not to long ago I stumbled onto some seeds :thumbsup: in a 1/2 ounce I got from a friend of mine. He told me it was Alaskan Thunder F*ck. I'd like to throw in, that it was the best mj I've smoked. Now I've been looking online and everywhere I've been reading says it doesn't exist anymore, but strains like it do. I can't find any information about growing this strain.

I'm planning on building small grow room in my closet. I was thinking to do soil, it seems to be the best for my first grow. Luckily my closet has a crawl space access, so ventilation will be cake. I can exhaust out a vent from under the house, and intake air from under the house. I'm not to worried about temperature either. The lighting seems to be the most elusive thing for me. http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-li...uch-light.html recommends a minimum of 2000 lumens per square foot, and 3500 being a good aim.

The closet I'm working with is 55" long x 36" wide. That gives me 13.75 square feet. So with 3500 being the aim I'd need a little over 48,000 lumens. I was hoping to use CFLs. But that would have me needing over 18 lights. I was hoping to use 4 or so. Positioned around the plant. I'm hoping that this will be plenty.

The other option I have is flouorescent lights, but I haven't read much about them.

I was looking for any insight/advice about both the seeds and the grow room.
