Bagseed LED Closet Grow
Oldmac, Shovelhandle, thanks for the kind words.
I'm feeling under the weather today so only picture in the update, I'll take some more If I feel better tomorrow. This is an overall look at the two young ladies. Lower branching is flowering quite nicely. They are presently 22" (rear plant) and 19 1/2" (front plant) I had anticipated quite a bit more stech than what happened or I would have let them grow a foot more. Well, hindsight is always 20/20 I suppose.

very nice man, those baby's look like they're fattenin' up real nice!
btw, have you considered adding molasses to your feeding regimen?
providing needed sugars frees your plants from the need to manufacture
those sugars and allows them to devote more energy to bud production.
or so i'm told, lol, i'm no expert.
also, i don't know if you've already discovered SnSstealth's LED grow yet and,
as it is well worth the read, i've included a link.

anyway, very nice indeed, you definitely have a green thumb.:greenthumb:

Looking good... you may be seeing nice growth on the bottom of the plant simply because they are not >2' tall. They should fatten up and yield pretty well at that height. Anyway, we live and learn.
Good luck!

This is the nicest LED grow I've seen. Kudos. I was thinking about one Procyon in a 3x3x7 closet but after seeing your three lights in a similarly sized room and the results so far, I'm having second thoughts. Quite an investment. Where did you get the Procyon's, I hear they're hard to get (always on back order). What type of ventilation do you have? Any problems keeping the temps down?

The Flu had me down for nearly a week.
Luckily the growroom attended to itself in my absence. I watered them Saturday and that's the last I saw of them until today. My friends are none worse for the experience.
Shovelhandle:
It took some time for what you said to be fully appreciated.
Perhaps aprox. 24" crop height is a practical goal for the present LED technology. Thanksfor the insight.
The buds are firm and heavy when handled. I don't wnat to do much more handling now that they are really cranking out the trichromes.
Joefarmer:
There are two approaches with LED grow...
"Low Energy" and "How much growth will my watts bring to harvest".
My grow is definitely the latter.
I can't even begin to be able to give any advise on their use. Only one thing is clear at this point. That is, that at this stage LED offer little or no financial advantage.
I got my Procyons from Indoor Agriculture back in February when they had about 10 in stock. They are presently back ordered there.
My ventilation is presently to 75 cfm fans exhasting the room by being mounted to two holes moounted directly to the wall.
The ambient temperature in room adjacient to the grow is around 72-75 F while the room is 74-78 typically. Very tolerable indeed.
Alas al things must pass and the grow roomis in store for a new configuration.
Details and weekly photos to follow tomorrow.

I changed my avatar because someone else was using it and I didn't want to steal his/her identity. Besides this one of the chief comimg out of the bus in flag clothes makes me smile and remember the "good old days".
The grow room needed re-configuration for odor control and better light containment. I found a Secret Jardin DR 100L still in the box at the local grow store. I also got a 140 cfm carbon can fan kit.
Mrs P and I spent the better part of the morning assembling the tent inside the grow room (sounds much easier than it turned out to be as there was nly 2" on each side extra in the room) and installing the carbon filter lights, power and of course the two voluptious ladies. Its a room within a room that fits like a glove.
The rear plant is so heavy with flowers that I had to support the main flowering stem with some twin and latex rubber tubing. The front plant continues to be a week ahead of the rear in terms of development.
I'm beat so photos later today or perhaps tomorrow. Only grow lights inside the grow room now so things will be more challenging to photograph. I'll come up with a way, though!
Best regards to all following my grow,
MP

The first wave of pistols are turning redish brown and a new wave of flower growth is beginning. There is no smell now, but the temps inside are in the 82-84F range now. The grow are is now 3'x3'x6'
