new to growing
Hello. I started growing my three plants about two months ago and they seem to be doing well. I think all three are females because they have started to flower... Since they have started to flower i now only take them outside for 12 hours and then bring them inside and shut them in my closet for 12 hours.. two of them are only about 15 inches tall and the third is about two and a half feet tall... I no they are small but like i said this is my first time growing weed... All i used was soil i bought from a garden center that has miracle grow mixed in the soil and says it will feed a plant for three months... I water them with well water don't no if that is better then normal water... any help would be appericated... will post picks as soon as this site lets me.....

wow... i;m actually a little surprised reading this, I have a feeling you have been quite lucky with what you have been doing.. 2 thing stuck out to me
I've been told that moving the plants between indoors and outdoors is kind of inviting pest problems, so I think you have probably gotten pretty lucky there.
the second is that you are using soil with time-released nutes, alot of people seem to have issues with those soils unless they do flushes at some point.
As for well water vs. municipal water, couldn;t really say that one is better than the other based on that info alone... personally i would probably prefer well water over municipal water as a general rule of thumb because the well water is presumably free of added chemicals that municipalities add to the water... like chlorine and fluoride... the chlorine can be pretty destructive to the plants (but its also pretty easy to get out of the water), not sure what fluoride does to them, but I can;t imagine its anything good.
the most important part of your water source is the PH level of it.
aaaalso, just FYI, male plants have flowers too, you need to look for the pollen sacks (male) or the white hairs (female)... you should be able to find a few threads on those boards with pics of what to look for

Try uploading to photobucket and shooting us some links. Anything is better than nothing. You may have typed a large paragraph. But pictures are a 1,000 words.<-- (shov ftw) Give or take.

Hope the pic was decent enough for all... all three have the white hairs on the flowers.. so i hope all three are females.. The only problem with moveing them from inside to outside is bugs... Little nat looking bugs but not to many of them, I just blow them off before moving them to the closet.. Dose the plant need much ventalation at night? I am sure there is not much in a closet with the door shut but they seem to be fine to me... Would giving them more then 12 hours of dark make them flower faster? Any help would be good news for my little girls... Thank you all...

well water can be high in lime, but that depends on your location of course. lime will lower your PH. so I'd get a test kit to keep in check.

well the girls seem to be doing fine since i put them on 12 12. But the two little one's really are not showing much growth. Is this normal? The biggest one of the three is showing nice flowering. Will the girls grow any taller or will they just fill out with little buds? I don't know what kind of bud it is cause i just kept the seed's from the batch of bud i bought.. From what i have seen from starting the plant around a month and a half maybe two months ago i don't see them getting much bigger? here is an updated pic.... Any help would be nice:rasta::rasta:

Whites hairs come from pistils. Which indicates female genitals. =P Males have balls. In a sense. Just spore pods. But they don't look too bad at all. And no. More darkness won't flower them longer. Be patient, they'll keep fattening up. Then get frosty. Then the ladies will cannibalize themselves. The leaves will turn yellow. Which indicates that the buds are using the leaves like stored energy/food. So no trimming. Also. Some people flower using 13 hours of light and 11 of dark. Either way works fine. Just don't get itchy and pinch buds. It could stress her our and she'll give off nanners in a defense. Meaning she'll hermi and pollinate herself or even the ladies around her. Don't want seeds,do ya?
