Aspirin is actually old tech. When it worked, it fooled only one type of test: the first-generation EMIT screen. Dade Behring (the manufacturer of the EMIT) had since recognized this and introduced a second-gen EMIT to tackle the aspirin effects that occurred on its predecessor. The first-gen EMIT is seldom used anymore (if, at all).
