Mono amino oxidase inhibitor, a drug which interfers with the way the body metabilizes certain drugs. 5meo-dmt is completely destroyed by the human digestive system, therefore one must either smoke/snort/inject it or take it with an MAOI, the same is true of dmt, and quite a few other drugs. They can also greatly increase the potency (perhaps in a dangerous way) of many drugs, including most phychedelics and amphetamines. MAOI's are found in certain prescription drugs, and also in some plants, including the seeds of syrian rue (peganum harmala) Hope I spelled that right.
