My space?

Hey all new here to these forums but i just had a question about the cabnet i wanted to use for a grow spot. The space is 6 feet tall 5 feet long BUT only 1.5 feet wide. Can i grow in here? if so what lighting and how many plants would u all think i could get in there?

Yes you should be able to grow in there. Mine is approx 3x3 6 feet.
With that size space if you set it up right you could use 400watt lights or even CFL's. You doing hydro a system, soil, or something else? like a bubble pot?

How many plants also?

I don;t see why you couldn;t grow in it... its certainly not very wide, but I don;t think that'll be a problem as long as you don;t let the plants get too huge...

as for lighting, kinda depends on what you want to do... HPS light is probably the popular favorite, i;m doing a grow with CFLs though, and as far as how much light you need, that will partially depend on what type of lighting you go for and how many plants you plan on growing. if you go HPS probably a 400watt if you have a few plants, or you could probably do a 250 if you just are doing a couple.. if you use CFL, I believe they say 25watt per plan minimum, but 50+ is recomended (this is actual CFL wattage, not incadescent-equivalent)

Hey thanks for the replies .. So if i was todo 4-5 plants a 400 wat MH would do good for the veg growing and then a 400 wat Hps for the budding?


Or would it be better to CFL for veg then just an Hps for budding?
