My mom was released today. The reason her brain shrunk was because of a vitamin deficiency mainly B12. She had gastric bypass surgery 7 years ago and since she doesn't take any vitamins like she is suppose it shrunk her brain. Since that surgery restricts what she absorbs so she will be doing injections.

The Dr. done alot of blood work and found out she almost od'd on aspirin! She just kept eating goody powders because she couldn't get rid of her headache and took way too many.

They are going to be transporting her to a better hospital so she can see some specialists. I decided to google brain shrinkage and found this on WebMD.
