Best type of MG soil for vegging and flowering?
My plants are on about day 21 and looking good so far. I still have the plants in the original soil that i started with(MG seedling soil) and i do realize that i am gonna have to kick it up a notch with better soil and some nutes to add to it. I have full faith in using MG soil for the entire grow. I went the bag seed route in order to get some experience and the feeling out process for the whole gig. Does anyone recommend the MG perlite soil for the next stage and what is the best type of soil to flower them with? Or can i use the perlite for the remainder of the grow? Thanks in advance guy's.

I used MG moisture control soil, perlite and nutes; last two grows. 15 females. No problems.
I'm not recommending it...I just use it...period. I feed and water, sparingly.

Best type of MG soil for vegging and flowering?
Like most everyone else, I don't necessarily recommend MG soils for cannabis, because it's not really tailored to the needs of the plants, and time-released fertilizers can sometimes play hell on feeding regimens, soil pH, etc. But, like most everyone else, I've used it successfully in a pinch, and won't completely bash the stuff outright.
I don't remember exactly how much perlite is usually added to their mixes, but you could probably stand to add a little more regardless... especially if it happens to be a "moisture control" type of soil that likes to stay damp. I mix my own soil now, and my soil/perlite ratio is 3/1. I end up having to water a bit more frequently, especially right before transplants, but I prefer it that way since I have the extra time to notice if they need any special attention or not.
And for flowering you'll want to make sure you don't use a soil that's overly rich in Nitrogen. While some N is good to prevent the onset of early yellowing, too much of it will influence new foliage growth, instead of bud growth. Again, knowing what the N-P-K of the soil is will definitely play a part on what you'll need to feed the plants for best results.
Take care.

You really should mix the 20% MG perlite and MG soil, first....before transplanting. We''ll let it go this time...just don't let it happen again...

I only had to fert once in veg due to the time release crap , but had no probs. for the rest of the grow .

Best type of MG soil for vegging and flowering?
Ok thank you all for such helpful replies. After having transplanted my plant to the MG potting mix, which we all know has added nutes which are time released i am now experiencing curling/shriveling of the 3rd set of leaves up. No biggie, as this is all trial and error until i get better, but i am thinking that either the already provided nutes are over feeding my baby or my PH is off which as stated above me may be due to my choice of soil. I tested the run off water at about 6.0 or maybe less, since i used a PH strip(which is not exact) until i can upgrade to digital, which will be soon. Another faulty mistake of mine along way was me switching to the 6500k about 1 month into vegging. That could be another problem of mine, but like i said, it's just trial and error until i get a hold of the whole process. I have access to unlimited bag seed so thats not a problem for me.

The funky PH encountered w/ these peat moss based mixes can be corrected by adding a tablespoon of hydrated lime per 1 gallon of soil mix .
Forgot to add that in the last post of mine here .
Peace
