Well im currently @ 4-5weeks in flowering under 250W HPS and some of my babies are having REALLY dense buds.

BUT one of them is getting really amberish. AND this is first grow so im kinda scared and attracted to the amber thing :P
Is it bud rot? or just THC-POWER?

Are you looking at the red hairs as amber ? Or are you looking at the trichomes ( crystals ) with a magnafier. The trichomes should be mostly cloudy with some amber, not clear. Other than that they look like I need to cure and smoke them LOL.

Doesn't look like rot to me.

If anything, red hairs on the top cola that look shorter or more frazzled than the others might be an indicator that the light is a little too close to the top. That's happened to me before, especially when I was using an open "v-wing" hood, and was easily remedied by moving the plant away from the light just a bit.

Enjoy the harvest when the time comes.

bud rod is usually very obvious....with visible mould fuzz and the weed will blacken and soften. the bud in the picture looks fantastic and i can't really see any rot. if you do find some though, cut out the rot and save the bud if you can. the first outdoor grow i did was with bag seed and one of the plants was sativa dominant and wasn't finished until late october/early november......i had quite a bit of rot on her and it was a shame cutting off all that bud. lesson learned. outdoor plants on vancouver island are better suited as indicas.
