Very new to this, a couple questions.

I just set up a little area to start growing. A friend of mine set me up with some clones, and they are finishing up the rooting process.

Yesterday I set up a 600W system, and have them under 24h light. I have them in soil, and they were all prepped up nice and good by my buddy.

I have 2 different strains running. One of them was wilting bad today, and seemed to be struggling. I misted them and slightly watered the ones that were very dry. The other strain seems very strong.

If I still notice wilting tomorrow, should I hold off on watering and just give it a nutrient mist?

Also, when should I start 12/12 lighting?

Your nute mist maybe what's wilting them. You can burn plants up with misting with other than PH'ed water. Don't mist with lights on that can wilt them too. Nute mist once or twice a week

I fried a bunch of leaves off a plant with nute misting. It could also be the change in the light. Just make sure they have water and let the soil dry in between. Some strains can take more stress than others. Make sure the light is not too close, that can do it too.

If the clones haven't hardened off yet, that might be one reason you're seeing the wilting. A 600W light is powerful, and rooting clones really don't need such strong light until they're fully rooted and producing new foliage. You might consider keeping the ones that are wilting away from the brightest part of the light's "footprint" until it's showing signs of healthy growth. Keeping the clones under a transparent dome also helps keep humidity high, which helps prevent wilting while the roots are establishing themselves.

As for when to switch to 12/12, that's entirely up to you and will depend mostly on how big you want the flowering plants to be. Some people go into 12/12 right away, especially for SOG-style grows, while others who are growing less plant leave them in veg a while longer to produce more nodes. Again, it's your decision.

    Take care.
