    Not sure if this goes here, but need help please.

    Hi i was wondering about how often should i water my plants? like is there a way to tell, ive been told on here by one person to feel the soil and if its barely cool then water them, but is there other ways? please and thank you in advance

    Not sure if this goes here, but need help please.

    All i do is, lift the pot with both hands and feel the weight of it, you get a feel for it's like instinct you know when it needs water.

    I'll second lifting the pot. If the roots haven't dug deep into whatever size container you're using, then testing the topsoil with your finger isn't the most reliable method, since the bottom half of the soil could still be moist, even soaking wet. That's just an invitation for mold and other assorted problems that could stunt growth.

    When to water is going to be different for different setups, so you'll have to find what works best for your plants. A wise man once said "It can be a fine balance between 'ok...I need to water later today' and 'shit...I should have watered yesterday.'" In fact, that man made his way into my signature!
