how many lights

I have a 9'wide x 13' depth x 8' height room. I've been told I can get 36 plants in this area. I'm trying to figure out how many lights I will need and the best way to configure the room, ie.. using moving light or standard hanging lights. Also I understand that 1000w lights are very hard to control, being a beginnier I'm still unsure as to what systems works the best. It seems the more I read the more I'm confused...with all the lumens and lux and PAR.. I just want this to be as simple as possible. What works the best and how do I know how many lights to us?

I've never done an indoor grow that large, but a rule-of-thumb is, 50-watts per square foot, or more ('supposedly', after a certain point, 60 watts/sq.ft., or more, efficiency drops off) ... I dunno for sure :smokin:
