suggestions please

im new to growing and im going to just use the seeds from my break up tray. So im asking which seeds i should use the big watermelon ones or smaller ones? And any suggestions on how to make the plant not grow so tall would be appreciated.

Can't really say which would be better. I've had big seeds grow well and small seeds grow well.

As for keeping them small? Make sure you have enough light on them (read some grow guides if you don't know how much light you need) and look into topping/training.

Pinch the seeds lightly, if they crush between your fingers, they're useless. If they're really light green or white, they're useless. Healthy, viable seeds are smooth and somewhat more rounded, and vary in size and color.
