If it's a normal 12oz plastic cup, you've got a while. How long depends on how fast it grows, which will depend on many other things, but you'll probably get to the third or forth node on the plant before it becomes too rootbound. If this is your first time, remember: NO nutes until the plant has at least 3-4 nodes, or around the first transplant. That's the most effective way to kill a young seedling, besides yanking it out of its pot, setting it on fire, and then stomping on it repeatedly.
While you wait, familiarize yourself with the FAQs. They'll save you a lot of headaches in the future.
