LED STEMLIGHTS Advice Plz
Hi
im thinking of starting my 2nd grow my first was 5 yrs ago and was useless
im gonna try led .any advice from experienced led growers would be greatly appreciated.
ive trawled threw this fourm and i still have 1 question unansered?
has anyone suscessfully grown with led and smoked it?
please let me know any good fourms or results ive missed.
my starter light is
Mixed Colour innovative LED Grow Light String...80 LED's emitting light in the Blue and Red 465nm 625-660nm ranges of the visible spectrum make up this LED Grow Light.
Configuration:
1 meter length
10 drop strings
2 clusters of FOUR LED's per drop - total LED's 80.
Cluster Spectrum:
2 x 660nm RED (flowering)
1 x 625nm RED (growth)
1 x 465nm Blue (early growth, plant orientation).
Stemlights have been created because of the inherant problems with fixed-type LED or normal grow lamps - you can only arrange and aim them in very limited configurations.
Use Stemlights by arranging them along the stem and branches of your plants as they grow - look for leaves which are hidden from the main light source because of the canopy growth above it, and arrange a cluster so its light falls on as many of these leaves as possible.
any input would be great guysd0tc0m Reviewed by d0tc0m on . I've grown with LED's before and yielded smokable bud, I can't recommend a better for side lighting but you need a 5,000k cfl. Plants respond very well with Full Spectrum, LED's alone just don't do it. This site has a lot of great info for LED grow logs check out SSnStealth's work with the Procyon. I am very intrigued by these lights, I just don't like how they don't give you the angle or the luminous intensity rating's on their diodes. Best of luck, I'll be taking a seat.

You are off to a good start.
I've been wondering if 5 mm leds were usefull IF you keep them within an inch or so.
I have vegged well with 300 10mm. leds at 4" .
For flowering, I had to "kick it up a notch"
Now using 12. 15W emitters for flowering.
Happy that someone is trying these.
I' ll lurk about, to see what happens.
Good luck,
Weezard
