Can someone help me through the whole process? I plan on putting the aerogarden in a closet and it is painted white for reflectivity. I've been running it with the herbs for a couple of months so I know the level of electricity it uses doesn't alert anyone. I'm trying to be cautious, plan well, and do well my first time around.

I know this is a slow down for most of you because you obviously know so much more than me, but please?

If for some reason I can't get a card, I think I intend to grow anyways. No medicines work for me so I'm at a do whatever I can point.

BTW, as far as my situation my husband supports me and has no problem with a few plants growing. There is no one else in our home and with my "issues" we don't have visitors so it's not an issue of being stealthy in our home. Just the rule of don't tell anybody.

Any help or advice or anything would be appreciated. I'm especially interested in ways to grow in the aerogarden instead of ways to set up another system. However if another system is required then a very simple outline and list of resources would be very welcome.

I want to be able to supply myself with enough for myself 12 months out of the year.

I use the Aerogarden Pro 100. I've had several decent growths. I use AK-47 feminized autoflowering seeds. You should be able to grow between 3-4 plants.

Things that are very important:
1.) Use distilled water
2.) Get a pH meter and keep your pH between 5.5 and 5.9. Regulate it using pH up and pH down.
3.) Add a couple of side CFL lights to augment the Aerogarden's lighting
4.) Use good nutrients. I use Fox Farms Grow Big and Tiger Bloom
5.) Use the wet napkin technique for germination. Slice the sponge in half and place the germinated seed in the sponge.
6.) Don't add nutrients for first 2 weeks and then add a 25% - 50% solution
7.) Change the reservior every week
8.) Get an air pump and a couple of air stones
9.) Have patience
