If i was looking to grow, i like a good body stone so indica preferably. Some shit makes me very anxious and paranoid. What strain would keep my mind off paranoia and anxiety but keep an awesome body stone to chill out with, without being paranoid and anxious? Thanks for any insight.

I like the white widow strain from Nirvana. Cheap and relatively easy to grow.

IMO: the harvest time creates the effect you want. A 'late' harvest produces the couchlock effect. A 'late harvest' is one where, a high % of the plants trichomes have turned amber.

An 'early' harvest produces a quick, buzzy high; that produces munchies. An early harvest has trichomes that are mostly clear and some cloudy. Only the grower can control this effect at harvest.

White widow causes anxiety, in just about everyone I know. Try an indica, not a mostly sativa hybrid.

Blueberry, (from DJ shorts or Dutch Passion) Flo, Blue Heaven (probably wont find that one), Bubblegum from Serious Seeds, Strawberry Cough (Greenhouse) - or the best Sweet Tooth from Spice of Life seeds.

The best anti-anxiety bud I ever smoke seems to be Spice of Life "Sweet Tooth" and it does'nt matter which version..the new 1.1 is fine or the old #3 or #4 is great too..look for the frosty light green pheno which smells the most like pink grapefruit and is more leafy..this is the special one that is done in 6 weeks flat and oohhhhh so sweet. Sweet Tooth is a DJ Short's special blueberry male bred to a very special Sweet Pink Grapefruit female or SPG (which was a clone from the orig. NL#1 from a loooooong time ago) It's got an ultra smooth mostly body buzz with low euphoria and just a slightly mental high that is much more relaxing and "clearer" than any other weed I have ever smoked. it's the weed you smoke when you are already feeling foggy or groggy and it seems to just cut right through it and make you "clear" again. The buzz allows you to let go of those persistent thoughts & "just be" but it still makes you laugh your ass off and get the munchies really bad..sleep better, be kinda stoned and creative, etc. It's a good buzz but not too strong at all unless you really over do it, then you just goto sleep with a very clear head and no racing thoughts at all, quite the opposite...more like a comfortable blank state of mind where you can create new thoughts but quickly move on in your head and just let go of them. I would stay away from any sativa based haze strains high in THC-V because that is known to be much more psychedelic and can increase paranoia & anxiety in prone people disposed to anxiety (like myself). Anything from africa stay away from like Durban...or any Thai for that matter..also avoid anything with "Cindy 99" in it or the various Skunk strains. Stay away from Trainwreck, lol.

More good choices would be NL#5, Afghani #1, Silver Pearl, or Hindu Kush from Sensi Seeds. These are very low anxiety strains and very soothing relaxing buzzes with medium potency and no intense rushes or racing thoughts, etc. This is the good karma herbal medicine that will help you to be Zen. :hippy:

Thanx for that post. Do you think Barny's sweet tooth is any good?

I don't think Barney's sweet tooth is the same actually..I know it won a cannabis cup and all but the flowering time is much longer and I just don't know anything about it as far as lineage goes..maybe someone else does?

I would stick to the real Spice of Life version if I went with Sweet Tooth personally..right now I believe there is a mix containing it in the spectacular #3 & #4 versions available from Gypsy at the Seed Boutique really cheap. Might be the last time you see these in F1 seed form! :hippy:

I love WW, and have never - nor has anyone I've ever shared it with - felt anxious after smoking it. Strains like White Widow, White Rhino, etc., definitely don't make you lethargic, but they're usually fairly uplifting and relaxing at the same time. They're also pretty potent, so you just need to take it, like everything else, in moderation and the buzz is fantastic.

I've actually heard of people with anxiety disorders being worse off after smoking an indica dominant strain. For some people, the sedating effect actually allows paranoia to creep in, due to the loss of connection with their environment, and causes the person to panic. This rarely happens with sativa dominants, again just as long as it's ingested in moderation. Just another point of view on the topic from someone who's grown the "white" strains and who's also been clinically diagnosed with acute anxiety.

I'm growing DP Blueberry right now and i hope it's true what I've read here because alot of strains freek me out when i smoke them. I start to think about my own mortality, the meaning of life.. yada yada yada.. {middle aged..lol} and get all panicky... sux.
