Mornin!!! :rasta:
I have gotten 2 different pheno's I can say that I had one in particular that grew much faster than the rest and I think it is what you are referring as racing toward the light, i found the taller to be better on every level. I now use that one for a mother, I have found she gives very consistent yields. Keep the bottom of the plant clean, it likes to try to bud on the lower levels and as you know indoors they are pretty worthless so get rid of them. I also think that the plant responds much better to low stress training than topping. I dont know if topping caused it but when i topped instead of training I got a much smaller harvest. I have found that they work wonderful in cage growing. I warn you they are very sensitive to over feeding. I have seen harvests die in full bloom from people over-nuting them.
