assuming your test was accurate... puttnig in ph 7.2 water and getting 5.6 run-off would mean that your actual soil PH would probably be a high 4.x number which would be very acidic and would kill your plant for sure, so I think its safe to say that something is up with your test results
So the run off should be at a ph of or close to what you put in. is What you are sayin? Correct? and if it is not then when measured with a digital ph tester it is time to flush I asume. I dont grow but will be asking those that I do know what their measurements are in the runoff or waste.
I would think their would be a small differance in the feed water and the waste water
