PYTHIUM ALERT !
I would encourage everyone to take a look at my thread..
http://boards.cannabis.com/plant-pro...ed-growth.html
I have been reading countless other threads of folks with similar problems as I have had..all too many times, the nute lockout, caused by poor nute uptake from diseased roots, has been wrongly diagnosed as over fert or ph issues.
I used to grow in coco..and i have had some great yields from using nutes which have not been ph'd, just added to normal ph tap water.
Also, the only probs i have ever had with over fert, was a slight yellowing/browning of the leaf tips.
THIS WAS SOMETHING FAR FAR MORE SINISTER..THE PLANTS LOOKED TERRIBLE AND THE ROOTS TURNED TO SHIT.
The only advice i can give is, if you are going to go down the hydroponic route, make damn sure you do it in a very clean environment, pay very close attention to nute temps, use plenty of nute additives with non organic nutes, and thoroughly sterilize ALL PARTS of the system between crops.
Also, DO NOT cross contaminate from organic to hydro. My mother was organic.
What a total disaster.volak Reviewed by volak on . PYTHIUM ALERT !
