Sin is doing what you think makes you happy, building a wall to blind yourself from God in the process. Your perception of complete happiness is still a hellish nightmare in comparison to being one with God again. So yes happiness is an attachment to illusion. God does'nt want anything you dont want, God simply waits for you to want him and nothing else.
