Favorite WWF/WWE Wrestler
I thought I would add this fun thread for discussions on favorite wrestlers.
If I had to pick just one wrestler who truly had the talent and dedication, and was my favorite, I would have to pick Bret Hart hands down. The best there is, was, and ever will be. I think the Wrestlemania XII match against HBK was the greatest match in Wrestlemania history and Bret really deserved to win but they changed the rules after the 60min were up AND Vince McMahon calls the shots. I don't watch wrestling anymore, not since 2003. The charisma from the 80s and 90s is gone, horrible stories/acting, tons of diva BS, and it's just not the same.
Other favorites of mine-The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Undertaker, the Rockers, Legion of Doom, Mr. Perfect, Ultimate Warrior, Edge, British Bulldog, Andre the Giant, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Mankind/Dude Love/Cactus Jack, John Cena (from the few matches I have seen)
Wrestlers I couldn't stand-Doink the clown, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Berserker, King Kong Bundy, Rick Rude, Papashango, 123 Kid/X Pac, IRS, Nasty Boys, Kamala, Yokozuna, Razor Ramon.
Wrestlemania, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble were the PPVs I would get. Summerslam and King of the Ring were cool but lacked memorable matches for me. Your turn...:hippy:FourTwenty4Life Reviewed by FourTwenty4Life on . Favorite WWF/WWE Wrestler I thought I would add this fun thread for discussions on favorite wrestlers. Even though wrestling is sport entertainment, I probably will move this there.
I can't stand The Rock..... lol. No, he is my favorite wrestler.
Almost all my friends make fun of me because I still watch a little wrestling. I don't give a damn though. Sports and hot girl wrestlers, it's great.
Far and away the grestest wrestling era was late 1990's early 2000's when the battle for the WWE title was mainly between The Rock, Stone Cold, Triple H, Undertaker, and Kane. Stone Cold had one of the best jobs for a while, making millions beating up his boss on a nightly basis. This group also makes up some of my favorites too. It took a while for HHH to grow on me but he's part of the old guard and one of the few wrestlers now with a personality. His days of running DX really helped, especially when him and Shawn dumped dung all over Vince and Shane. I also liked the Billy Gunn and Jessie James.
Most of the other ones I can tolerate but I hate Edge he's such a little bitch and Cena as he has the charisma of a wall.
I can't believe you don't like Hunter but you like Edge.
I almost wrecked into The Big Show a few months ago at the bank. I came out and he was parked a couple of cars from me towering over this girl that worked at the bank. I'm like who is...oh it's Show. I got in my girlfriend's SUV and he got into his car and rolled down the window and had his giant hand hanging out. I was trying to get her to look at the size of his hand and ring and I almost hit him. She got pissed. I see a lot of them around town. I saw Hogan and Brooke at a restaurant about a year ago and I used to see Test out a lot. He just bit it recently.
One of my favorite clips of The Great One. I like the things he says to Stephanie, Eddie, Big Show, and NWO.

Well I'm pretty young (21) and when I was growing up I used to love the Ultimate Warrior....He was the very first wrestler I seen when I was young and when I seen him at the top ropes, jumping off to drop an elbow onto his opponent,[mind you I was like 4-5 years old] I fell in love.....Then when I got into it I then had a new favorite.....HBK, lol who doesn't love a little sweet chin music!? But that was then, I don't watch wrestling anymore, it got to staged and cheesy for me.
On another note. Rock was not a favorite but definitely a good entertainer....Reno911MIAMI he was hilarious for his 3 min of fame....Also, Get Smart with steve caroll(sp?) He was funny also!.......Shit just about all his movies are pretty entertaining if you ask me!

I also watched back when it was the rotaion between Kane, Undertaker, Stone Cold, and The Rock.
I actually have a box of some wrestlers from that era, at least the ones that are left after I went through my firework phase.
It was good times, having school off on Tuesdays (very rarely) allowing the friends to sleep over to watch Raw on Monday.
We never bought the PPV's, but we rocked the shit outta Raw, and then Smackdown came out, and we watched that for a while, until it turned to trash.
I look back at it, and I can't believe I was actually entertained. Now if i flip the channels and I see wrestling, I get disgusted.
Maybe cause I'm a MMA guy now, but that phase is slowly drifting away also. I just watch the PPV's, and just hope my favs. A. Silva, JSP, and W. Silva melt face.

Here is why I don't like HHH...If you watch the real life documentary "Hitman Hart: Wrestling with Shadows" you see that HHH was involved in the Vince/Shawn Montreal 97 "screwjob" at Survivor Series. There is a bunch of little things in Bret Hart's autobiography that mention how HHH only does stuff for his personal gain, ie. Stephanie McMahon c'mon..lol and why is it that HHH started off as this blue blood snob all proper and then goes to "Triple H" instead of "Hunter Hearst Helmsley" and DX was just really degrading to the sport entertainment aspect. Some of the USA Vs Canada stuff was brutal and was the first sign of things to come in terms of how far they were willing to go for ratings.
I think Edge is just crazy and keep in mind he showed up to the WWF/WWE in that vampire trio lol. So he has grown a lot as a superstar over the years and worked hard to become a champ. Bret devoted his entire LIFE to wrestling until injuries took him out for good.Who can forget Wrestlemania X when all the wrestlers came out and hoisted Bret up on their shoulders as champ. Those wrestlers certainly have to have stamina. I miss the old WWF days!:hippy:

i use to watch wrestling constantly when i was younger. I was mainly into wcw though. My all time favorite wrestler was Diamond Dallas Page and Sting was a close second. I've always kinda followed the wwe stories though, still watch from time to time. I still have a few die-hard wrestling fanatics and we will go to show sometimes as well. It's funny how i use to hate the rock...i thought he was such a douche but now i go back and watch those youtube videos....he really does just ooze talent.
