The buds do not actually need the light. The leaves that connect to the buds are what "feed" them the light. As long as your canopy is well lit, you'll be fine. The general rule is if the leaves do not fall off, the plant still wants them. Some people take off the 3 lowest nodes before initiating flowering so the plant has time to heal and then puts all of her energy in the buds that would produce the most anyway in order to "boost" them up a bit.

You should be fine as is. Hope all goes well and we're here to help!
NoDrugs4Me Reviewed by NoDrugs4Me on . Two Questions - Two Subjects First Question, I've got one MindBinder and it doing pretty well. It's about one week into flower and it's definitely a girl (pistils everywhere). I was wanting to do a little cropping, but the two leaves I want to eliminate are the two top fan leaves. Reason being, I could get much nicer buds if the light could get to the bud sites better, which are hidden under these two leaves. Since I still have 4 other sets of large fan leaves below this first level, would it be safe to crop these two Rating: 5
