This is really the only question you need to respond to and you'll find out why. We tried many times to adjust people's ban dates to reflect their 18th birthday but this wasn't always possible. If you want to have your old handle back, let me know.

Now I am going to respond to a few of the things you said but don't go down the road of posting about this for a 3rd time. Normally we don't respond to posts about member's infractions and how long a ban might be because it usually gets other members into pointless arguments with the mods or other members and it drags them , the member questioning another member's infraction, down too. However, in the case of the ones mentioned and about 2 others, I don't mind and I think some of the member's appreciate knowing what happened to them. I have talked about some of these members before in a couple of threads and when the basement dweller got on his friend's computer and started to post under a new name about how he was treated unfairly I addressed his actions and infractions and why he was banned. From comments by other members they were glad to be informed on why they aren't allowed on the board but didn't want to rehash the past. Many have also indicated they don't miss these members especially once they found out what happened. What we aren't going to do is go back and forth and make this a fucking mess for you and get you or anyone else caught in it.

I'm not angry as much as annoyed because this is such a waste of time. I wouldn't even bother but I see someone who is somewhat naive, like I used to be many years ago and maybe you can learn something from this. For starters, you can learn a little about the human ego and needy people and never trust an addict in the case of the basement dweller. I'm not calling marijuana users addicts either. He's a phrase that will serve you well later in life. How can you tell an addict is lying? Their lips are moving.

How can you say you didn't blame the mods directly. Who else were you talking about when you said they did a big sweep and banned a lot of people. Who else could they be? Yeah you might not have wrote the word mods but who else could you have been talking about. Don't answer and don't say the admins because I'm not stupid. Then you said you would love to sit here and complain? How many times have we said we don't want to here complaints, bitching, moaning, whining, etc. Constructive criticism and suggestions are useful but not sitting around complaining. For one, the mods don't set policy. Here, look at what you said:

You did complain some and you also said I would love to sit and complain. That's non constructive bitching in my book. There are plenty of constructive threads in the feedback section if you need to see examples of constructive. Look at the one suggesting a DIY section. That's constructive. Server Busy thread is constructive too.

So someone starts a thread about what happened and you include a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with what happened specifically the complaining and whining. You could have said the boards are now 18 and over and focus has shifted to medical marijuana use and less of a social board and they moved the lounge. Again, I'm not stupid and it's like you're trying to stick a little stab in there, 1 & 1/2 years after the changes. If you do think we do a good job and the infractions are fair and justified, then why bring up the banned members anyway?

Again, we gave these guys more than enough chances to follow the rules and they decided to be selfish and feel that everyone else should play by the rules but themselves. Is that fair to those who do follow the rules?

If you really do miss their posts, I can see where you are coming from as some of those banned members were good at attracted the younger members and dazzling them with their bullshit. Seriously, one of them only talked about zombies and posted wikipedia links because he had no original thoughts as well as holding daily pity parties for himself, the other one constantly took shots at Americans and American weed and making marijuana users look like violent assholes. I guess that's enjoyable for about 5 minutes. : You'll learn better judgement and if you do miss them, no one wants to hear it and you sitting around complaining about it or how you would love to complain.

No I don't hate you nor do I hold it against you if you stop now because I hope you learned something. I hope you learned the mess you started with either your stab at how we banned people or your poorly chosen words. I hope you learned that members don't always have all the information about what goes on around here like the mods do. I hope you have learned about addition through subtraction. I hope you see that this community isn't static but dynamic and as some people go, some people come and things work out. I hope you see many of the things that I haven't pointed out.
