weed stunts growth?

hey stoners im new to the forum (first post woot!) sry if this is in the wrong section but i have a question:
Does weed stunt your growth? I've heard that it does but at the same time, i know a lot of kids who seem like they shot up when they started smoking, i also know a lot of short stoners (which may suggest that it does indeed) i myself am short so i would like to know- thanks guys :jointsmile:

Supposedley the people from the netherlands like the dutch are the tallest people in the world, and thats where the weed is at though, like amsterdam. and Nextline- did you mean drinking water or drinking alcohol as a replacement of smoking?

oh yeah, smoking pot definitely stunts your growth ... after toking up for 42 years, I'm still only 6'2" :wtf: ... if not for the pot, I would definitely be playing center in the NBA, probably be well over 8 or 9 feet tall

Welcome smokernoob! It is an ole' wives' tale! I have heard that it stunts your growth since I was born!! As a child, I believed it also! They were talking about cigs. though! If people would try mj for more than a few times and over a few years, I believe they would realize what a medical wonder it is. The latest thing to worry about is your balls! There is a thread on that already though! I would however, take into consideration--I personally have not read the tests on it yet (need a clear head (migraine free) for that kind of reading). imo--it is dose related, not too much and not too little. If you err with mmj--do it on the generous side!! lol--in all seriousness though, the study's for most, say too little mmj is worse!

Granny "Storm Crow" has a lot of studies and interesting things to read and I believe there is a list that is Stickied, Tacked or Stuck somewhere for info. you might look up.

Thanks for the advice painretreat! do you mean to say that it is more healthy towards growth to smoke it on a regular basis rather than to do it every now and then (like catching your body off guard or something?) :wtf: explain what you meant please..
i looked at grannys thread on the medicinal properties of cannabis and couldn't find anything about growth...
