I live in the San Fernando Valley and my wife her medical card and I am interested in becoming her caregiver. I understand that is just a form to be filled out. what i required though to grow for other dispensaries...i read that a tobacco resellers license is required. What else though?

Yes there is a form that you need to fill out. I know it is on the internet, it might be ASA's website. Never heard that a tobacco re sellers license is needed, and doubt that theres any truth to it. Good luck with starting your grow

ASA is Americans for Safe Access. They are an advocacy group for MMJ, and have brought several lawsuits protecting our right to medicate. They are located in Oakland, CA. Not sure of their web site, but am positive you'll find just searching ASA.

I've never heard anything about any 'tobacco license' :wtf: ... up here in my norCal county, you go to the District Attorney's office, and ask for a 'caregiver's license' ... he gives specifics, how many plants, etc., and will send cops to check it out periodically, to see if you're adhering to his 'rules' ... now, technically, the California Supreme Court ruled there is NO 'plant limits', because it wasn't addressed in the Prop. 215 law ... however, if you step too far over the line, he'll bust your ass for 'drug trafficking', 'growing for sale', etc. (they can still do that) ... better to just grow your own, for personal use, and leave the commercial-type grows to the people with lots of 'lawyer-up money'
imp: ... in California, a Prop. 215 patient is not allowed to sell or share, with anyone, even another patient, unless their name and Doctor's recommendation is posted with the plants, and a caregiver's license is present ... at least, that's how it's done here ... hope that helps ... MPP (Marijuana Policy Project) is an excellent organization, is responsible for most all the states' Med MJ laws, and pending bills ...
