Well today I bought some nutrients for my other plants, im also doing a experiment with one with milk as its fert. But for my othe rplants I needed nutes for...and well I don't really have a gardening store thats hardcore around here...just like wal-mart and lowes and home depo and what not. So I went ACE and picked up this.

the alaska moorbloom sounds good for flower. the other not so much for either growth phase in my opinion. during veg you want high N and low P and K. for flower you want low or no N and high P and K.

maybe take the schutlz back and look for something with more N.

depending on what the P-K were i would go with that one. i think it would do a better job for you in veg.

how long do you plan on vegging for?

and get some molasses. you can get it at the grocery store or walmart for less that $3. use 2 TBSP per gallon when feeding during flower. you can start this a little before flower. i think you should use it during veg too because it causes growth to go nuts, but i haven't tested this out yet.

    hope this helps.

Well honestly my plants are all in veg stage right now without nutes, so all their leaves are yellow from the bottom going up, and I also have one plant put aside and im running my milk test on that one, its actually working too :jawdropper: but yeah 3 plants under 2 T12 48" with it 1 inch from their tops. there still growing without the nutes, its just...very slow -.-.

Yeah well milk has the nutes that can be absorbed and the milk DOES WORK, but its more of a last resort thing its nothing like real nutes. SOOO stick with real nutes.

you might want to take it easy on the milk. i was reading some stuff and found out some possibly beneficial information.

-the nitrogen in milk is bound-up in a protein. bacteria and fungi in the soil and some of it will be released as nitrate or ammonia.

-the calcium ions can be taken in rather directly. keep in mind that if you apply too much calcium (Ca) early it can stunt growth.

-deficient leaf tips, edges and new growth will turn brown and die back.

-the proteins and sugars could cause bacterial growth in your soil.

-transpiration (removal of water) could make a concentration of milk hypertonic (dictionary says: noting or pertaining to solutions characterized by equal osmotic pressure.) the cells of the root will lose water, lose turgor pressure, and no longer supply the shoot with needed water.

just some info i gathered. not mine. maybe it'll help.

    good growing!

Yep actually I know most of this, see theres sugar in milk, I don't use homon. milk lol, I used straight from the cow milk, and its been very benefical. The sugar in the milk makes the soil a breeding ground for bacteria and fungus's this is why I advise you to use straight from the cow or maybe a dry powdered mixed in with the soil?
