When is it ok to go 12/12?
I'm at 48 days since my first one pop out of the soil. It's an indoor setup and I got two 150w grow bulbs over head, a 35w grow-an-show underneith, and two 4ft. 40w flouro's on the side, one warm and one soft. I'm running 18/6 now. Is this enough light for a 3x3 area? When should I go 12/12? Do I need more light? One of them seems to be a dwarf. I am not sure what to do with that one. Two are about a foot tall. They seem to be pretty healthy. I was hoping for them to be a bit taller. The last one is about 8 inches tall. It's about 8 inches tall, and about 40 days old. Please let me know any suggestions

if two of them are already a foot and the smallest is eight inches, then i would go ahead and throw it into 12/12 now. i like to put mine in flowering stage around 8-12 inches as any more taller than that will give you too big of a plant as it grows way MORE during the flowering stage. you wattage of lights seem good to me, but you have to be more specific. what kind of 150w grow bulbs are those? what color spectrum?

There actually two 120w Phillps Reflectagrow bulbs I picked up for a local store. Not sure of the spectrum. Are those ok to use? That's why I am using so many different bulbs. I want to make sure I have all bases covered. Thanks for the reply.

When is it ok to go 12/12?
I'm at 48 days since my first one popped out of the soil. It's an indoor regular planter setup. I got two 120w Phillps Reflectagrow bulbs over head, a 35w grow-an-show underneath, and two 4ft. 40w flouro's on the side, one warm and one soft. I'm running 18/6 now. Is this enough light for a 3x3 area? When should I go 12/12? Do I need more light? One of them seems to be a dwarf. At 40 days and 6 1/2 inches tall. I'm not sure what to do with that one. Two are about a foot tall. They seem to be pretty healthy. Those two grew fast compared to the other two. I was hoping for all of them to be a bit taller. The last one is about 8 inches tall and about 40 days old and already very stinky. In the beginning this one was looking strange. Some genetic problems in the first two or three stages. The leaves were not developing fully, and the stem had some red streak in it. Is it lacking some nutrients? I have pretty good commericial soil with different types of nutrients already in it. I've given them some plant food called "Osmocote" slow release plant food. Is this stuff ok for them? The leaves are now growing correctly. I think. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

now that you have more info, i think you'll get more replies....i'm not too knowledgeable about soil growing.....or about lights, especially floros. i use HPS lights with extra blue spectrum.
i can tell you that you are having a nutrient problem. you should not just rely on nutrient filled soil. the red streak i THINK is a nitrogen deficiency. you definately have to do something about the nutrients. and i'm not knowledgeable about soil nutrients. sorry.
also make sure NOT to overwater. if anything, let the soil dry until the it is mostly dry except the bottom of the pot. that will help the roots grow out seeking for water and be stronger. hopefully someone will follow me to fill in the blanks. take care
