i am in the same situation as you only im growing two plants. this is what I did:

Since the days are still short and cold at this point in the year, i decided to grow in a closet and veg them until may, when it would be warm enough to put em outside. They sprouted on monday, 3/30 in seedling starter soil (mixes are readily availale at any gardening store/lowes/home depot) under a couple of desk lights (CFLs, obviously). im going to transplant to bigger pots once they get a bit older, then once early may comes around i'm going to plant them in an area that gets a lot of sun. I'll probably just put em in some top soil with bat guano or worm casings, surround them with chicken wire and wait until harvest time (sometime in October)

There is plenty of light, and I plan on using miracle grow. I have 40 or so seeds to start, and I will be planting them about 2 feet from each other. They have a solid 12-13 hours of sunlight. I will be watering them daily to. I'm just wondering, what do I need to do to get the PH levels right, and to get a female plant. On another note, I figure if I'm going to be growing this many plants, Rating: 5
