    Problems with baby

    Hello!

I have a problem that I have not been able to find the answer to.

I have brown spots on the first two real leaves of my 12 day old plant, and they do not really match anything I have found online from nute burn etc. The closest match I found showed it could be either an Mg or Mn shortage, though I am not sure. The other possibility I thought it could be was light burn from having droplets of water on the leaves from watering, which acted as a magnifier glass so burn the leaves, however, after I noticed a new brown spot appearing on a newer leaf (and I have not watered in about 2 days) - it cannot be that.

    Setup:
    Proper plant growing 200w(actual) CFL
Mixture of normal soil(no nutes added) and BioBizz All Mix (small amount of ferts added)
100% Indica strain from seed ~12 days old from sprouting.

Temps are around 83-88 (F) during the day, a little less at night, working on getting slighly cooler during day but fear its just going to get worse with the summer heat starting to kick in.

No extra nutes have been added (apart from what came in the AllMix soil).

Attached 5 Images, shows progression of browness on leaves.

    Image 1- Day 9
    Image 2- Day 10
    Image 3- Day 11
    Image 4- Day 12
    Image 5- Day 12

    Thank you for your help...

    Problems with baby

It looks to me like "rust" a fungus... not saying that's what it is, just looks like that.

I don't grow from seed, yet, will soon. so I don't have a definite on that.

else, could be using up it's baby leaves as it grows/develops? the leaves affected look like the lowest.

    Problems with baby

Thanks, I hope it is something as simple as rust fugus - I found a site saying that it can be treated with:

baking soda, 1 tea spoon/ quart of water. spray on.

I have one or two other questions.

Firstly, my plant showed the little (pre flower?) hairs at about 8 days old - and now I have them at every node (3 nodes so far). I know this is NOT a sign of flowering, or maturity (since alternating nodes are what show maturity), but is that not really early for the little "hairs" to form?

Also, I had a bit of an accident and today the lights did not come on in time. The plant ended up getting 14 Hours light and 10 Hours dark - just for today. I am guessing this is ok and might just cause a little stress...anyone think different?

    Thanks!

Those are the branches! No buds yet, bro!

You're doing what I and many others do... you love em too much! They like being talked to and whatnot, but too much attention WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS! It just does... so make sure when you water them that your nutes and pH are on the money and leave em alone til it's time to water again.

Is that Miracle Grow soil? That is DEFINITELY NOT a deficiency... the plants don't need ANY nutes until they have 5 alternating nods. You have about two weeks to go based on your pictures. Just give them tap water pH'ed to 6.5 and you're good to go! That's ALL you need to do right now... promise!

Make sure the temp isn't any higher than 80... 76-78 is ideal, but don't sweat it if it's up or down... temperatures change in the real world too! You just don't want it above 80 for the majority of the day. My closet peaks around 4-5 p.m. but it goes back to normal afterward.

I'll help all that I can... you've been bookmarked in my toolbar, so I'll check up on you as needed... that's IF I am of any assistance.

This is a game of patience. I have failed several times due to impatience and too much love. It's called "weed" for a reason, though... I had a plant get about 6" tall in a crack in my concrete before I even realized it...

    TAKE IT EAsY!
