Bud with grain sized red specs

I got a quarter, upon further examination I find TINY red specs all over the bud (not too many to stop me from smoking, but enough to make me curious)

I've never seen anything like it, it looks like somebody sprinkled chili powder over the bud or something? I don't know, and know you probally can't tell for sure but anybody have a similar experiance?

have you looked at it under a microscope or magnifying glass?

No but I have about 2 grams left if I get my hands on a microscope I'll post.

It was too long ago, but in in the late 60s, I had something similar. But it glistened like the tricomes do today. Just look at it under a magnifying glass. I know the stuff then kicked butt. :jointsmile:

Sounds like spidermites big time. My bro had them and thay's what it was. A bitch to get rid of them and it was maybe close to finish. My bro smoke them and didn't die.

I've had weed with little red hairs before. Maybe the hairs are just smooshed down? That shit fucked me up good. I was paralysed lol. And that's when I fell in love, long story but I am happy I bought that stuff.
