These folks have never known the joy of "catchment water" or green swimming pools.
My Boy Scout training had us carry tincture of Iodine to disinfect standing water.
Hooray!

I was about to recount to some of my newly acquired skeptics the use of "water disinfectant tablets" that usta come with the little camping mess kits. Little tiny, soft white pills IF I am remembering them correctly. I remember hunting up some skanky pond water to test them out before my parental units (likewise not amused--recalling your magnetization experiment) interrupted my research.

What the heck were those things? That's another possibility for res maintenance.

This bleach is doing the trick. I'm just not sure how slowly it degrades in a dark bubblebucket. Chlorine added to a swimming pool will "cool off" within ~72 hours if there's sufficient sun, heat, and wind. Takes twice that long without.

5 drops per gallon wouldn't bring a growing funk problem under control.
10 drops per gallon worked, but was too strong for the plant.
(I'm probably going to have to do this in metric or these barleycorn measurements are gonna drive me nuts.)

Adding 12 drops (total) this top-up caused no problem.

That's all I know so far, but I'm zeroing in on it.

Time to check da BP, brah.
No go stupid on me now.
Funny you should mention. Arthritis flared up and my foot looks like Fred Flintstone. Very painful, although a harmless part of the recovery process. Can't walk right, though. Can't sleep either, and it's been hard to concentrate for 2 days now.

I can't find a pawn that can move to Q4. QB4 maybe? Or I screwed up the board again. All is well, otherwise. Fun playing with the buckets.

Best to the wife.
