I was about to start futzing with infra red along with the UV.

What you just told me is that mercury vapor will output a short enough wavelength to rust-up some trichs.
(I should know that.)
And IR is probably not a player.
This means I can tan them indoors if need be.
Lot easier to quantify than sunlight over time, yah?

Just took a test bud from the greenhouse WW.
Takin' some snaps as it dries in the dark.

Then put the donor out in the sun onna lanai.
I'm taking some macro shots of the her in sunlight every hour to see what's too much and how fast they brown.
Then I'll have a benchmark for my QMV tube irradiation.
