Hey, I've got some 5W stars, here.

The head of a standard #4 screw is dangerously close to the solder pads. I'm thinking of chucking these screws into a drill and turning the heads against a file for extra clearance. Unneccessary?

But, I'd snug 'em down, mark the "too close" side, unscrew, file a flat and re-tighten.
(Drill chuck scuffs up da threads. It's unsightly)

Nah, you jes' run a nut onto the screw. Straightens the threads back out when you back it off. Figgered that out chopping them off with a Dremel cutoff wheel.

Of course, there's nylon screws, too. Not real confident in 'em, though.

Gotta check who was on dat porch. May be a hotbed of gender confusion.
