Calling out to DreadedHermie for a game of "stoner chess"
Sorry to write in prose, but I'm not flowing with the poetry at present.
That hash looks great! Not legal to make concentrates in my state or I would consider doing it as well.
12+ weeks of C. Sativa flowering is too long (LB); back to the poly-hybrids for me!
It was a fun experiment, for what it's worth. It seemed to flower quite nicely after I changed the day/night ratio to 11/13 as suggested by a breeder friend although your suggestion about far red is interesting. Changing nutes to GH so as to elmimnate the N in the part A. (D0H!!!) I can get away with it in the Chemdog varieties since they like it in flowering, but it may be confusing some varieties at veg/flower changeover.

Hers is a real looker;

It's cheaper to pay shipping from Washington State than it is to drive to the nearest headshop at 20 mpg.
And the prices are good enough to worry me.
About half what our "local" shop charges.
So, let's play while I wait for the mail guy.

I usta make "water pipes" outta lab glassware: Erlenmeyer flask, 2-hole stopper, thistle tube....worked better than the commercial offerings at the time. Haven't used one since. I remember jus'about gagging up a lung when I'd forgot to clear off the the leftover humid smoke in the flask. The popular design now has that big column of smoke right at the "user interface," prolly safer from a gag hazard standpoint. That 'column' was generally some kinda plexi back then.
I glance at the bongs whenever I go to the local headshop to ransack their "$1 scratch-and-dent rolling paper" fishbowl. But it seems like they're all $300, and though I'm not exactly clumsy... it's more like I put things in places, and then try and put another solid object (like my arm) into that same space, having forgotten about the first object. :tin foil hat: Probably not a wise investment for me. Hard to hide on yer person, too. One enormous bulge in my clothing draws enough attention on its own.
imp:
*slight subject change to "regular" pipes*
But I was gonna ask you, because I haven't smoked out of a glass pipe in years. I've got a little copper/brass pipe I made outta propane fittings many years ago. I think I A/B'ed it against a glass piece back then and decided the glass pipe was harsher/hotter. Does that make sense? I may have made another incorrect generalization. Seems like glass pipes are vastly more popular now. Is it just the esthetics? ('Cos I'm this close to buying another tubing flarer and make a few of these metal pipes. See if the shops want to sell 'em.)
Lemme go scout up an opening move, and see if I want an 'interesting game,' or for it to be 'in its death throes' after the first move.
And I checked out the thread at IC, but it had been so long since I'd seen it I don't know what was missing. If it pissed someone off that much (probably just jeopardized a sale) you should repost the offending facts here.
