    Thanks!
I li'l bird told me you were about ready for a game.
    Anytime.
I flipped a coin, you won first move.

Kinda wuthless tonight though, got into the right/wrong jar again.:stoned:

Lolagal talked me into ordering my first bong.

    Hers is a real looker;
    [attachment=o237044]
It's cheaper to pay shipping from Washington State than it is to drive to the nearest headshop at 20 mpg.
And the prices are good enough to worry me.
About half what our "local" shop charges.

So, let's play while I wait for the mail guy.

    Alo ha

I usta make "water pipes" outta lab glassware: Erlenmeyer flask, 2-hole stopper, thistle tube....worked better than the commercial offerings at the time. Haven't used one since. I remember jus'about gagging up a lung when I'd forgot to clear off the the leftover humid smoke in the flask. The popular design now has that big column of smoke right at the "user interface," prolly safer from a gag hazard standpoint. That 'column' was generally some kinda plexi back then.

I glance at the bongs whenever I go to the local headshop to ransack their "$1 scratch-and-dent rolling paper" fishbowl. But it seems like they're all $300, and though I'm not exactly clumsy... it's more like I put things in places, and then try and put another solid object (like my arm) into that same space, having forgotten about the first object. :tin foil hat: Probably not a wise investment for me. Hard to hide on yer person, too. One enormous bulge in my clothing draws enough attention on its own. imp:

*slight subject change to "regular" pipes*
But I was gonna ask you, because I haven't smoked out of a glass pipe in years. I've got a little copper/brass pipe I made outta propane fittings many years ago. I think I A/B'ed it against a glass piece back then and decided the glass pipe was harsher/hotter. Does that make sense? I may have made another incorrect generalization. Seems like glass pipes are vastly more popular now. Is it just the esthetics? ('Cos I'm this close to buying another tubing flarer and make a few of these metal pipes. See if the shops want to sell 'em.)

Lemme go scout up an opening move, and see if I want an 'interesting game,' or for it to be 'in its death throes' after the first move.

And I checked out the thread at IC, but it had been so long since I'd seen it I don't know what was missing. If it pissed someone off that much (probably just jeopardized a sale) you should repost the offending facts here.

    BRB with a move....

    Nevah used one!
Got a beard and dem ol' kinebong can really stink up a moustash.
I did make one out of a baby food jar with a telescoping mouthpiece fashioned from a transistor radio antenna.
I'd cut and fray the end of a piece of zipcord and use it to punch 25 holes per poke in an aluminum foil bowl which made a quick and dirty, single use screen.
(Yeah, I know, but it's all I had at the time).
I was a political prisoner in durance vile.
That pipe lived through many "shakedowns".
    \
Each "dorm" had a public address speaker that was used as a microphone at night. They made good mikes, but lousy speakers. Too damn loud.
I took mine down during the day and installed a fader so I could turn it down in the mornings and sleep in.:rastasmoke:
That also let me mute the microphone function at night.
I kept my waterpipe inside the speaker housing.

    It might still be there.

Had the same take on it. Plus, I'm frugal.
The really thick, large, good quality, very hard to break kine are all $300.
    At the shop.
    No way!
And, hard to hide and explain when found, yah?
Now, ainokea, I can bong out on my front deck.
And Lolagal turned me on to some amazing prices for quality items.
    $250 digital vape for $ 70.
    $280 bong for $119
Them super thick glass pipes that smoke way smoother than any metal pipe are less than half what the local shop wants.
Just got an e-mail that the Tesla model glass pipe is sold out.
    Told them to substitute.
I'll show ya what they send.

*slight subject change to "regular" pipes*

Nope, as I said above, thin glass pipes are harsh.
beefy, chunky, glass pipes are a whole different animal
I gave all my metal pipes away, and am about to go a bonging.

Lemme go scout up an opening move, and see if I want an 'interesting game,' or for it to be 'in its death throes' after the first move.

    They have been.
    Without incident, I might add.
But Cammie's not paying the rent here, yah?
    And I was diplomatic.
I think of her lights as rectangular UFos.
But I did not say that.
I just refuted the tangled logic she was trying to defend < 1Watt emitter with.

On that note, heard from Tracy at Lumigrow.
They are using quality 5 Watt emtters.
58 of them and the reds are 660nm.
    Sounds like a real winner.
'cept, for some reason, they put dimmers on the reds, and the blues. :wtf:
That, and they want $1300, with a rebate, yet.
    So glad I already got.

    BRB with a move....
    And, so you were.
    And so, was I.
    And now, I'll wait.
    At least I'll try.
    I want it now.
    That's not to be.
    So I sit and pine.
    For move # three.

That's a good move, in mid, or end-game
Right from the git, though, it is easily thwarted.
Here's how to handle an early fianchetto.
    P - Q4!

Black now dominates 3 long diagonals and, so far, owns the center.
Hope you got a long term plan, 'cause the wiki is feeding you hose.
    Hint:
    [attachment=o237199]

    :asskick:at best!!

Suggest you count the number of controlled squares.
Ignoring the pawns, it's white -5
    Black - 21
You need to remedy that in the next three moves or get mugged.

    At best.
