12 states have passed laws allowing the use of MEDICAL MARIJUANA, is this not enough to have M moved to a differant listing on the drug schedule list.

IMO, just having it moved to a sched 2 is not enough. This is where cocaine and meth are listed. So it would be held in the same regard. It must be REMOVED from the list of controlled substances period plain and simple. I mean seriously, where is alcohol? Not on the list. I will not accept anyone telling me that cannabis should be considered more dangerous than alcohol. Keeping on the list of controlled substances is saying exactly that. Intolerable IMO.
I do feel your pain.

Kush, I read somewhere that if it was moved to schedule 3 it would be in the same catigory as asperin and tylinol. That could be good.

Could be, but I believe that not the last petition for resched, but the 1 before that a decision to deny took over 20 years, there is a petition from a former editor of High Times again, but I don't expect a decision on it anytime in the next decade lol. And then it's likely to be denied, again. Sched 3 would be better, but most activist groups that clammer about resched talk about it being moved to a sched 2, which pisses me off to no end. Why even make an attempt to put it on 2 you know? Doesn't make any sense to me..
To use a vague metaphor, it's like asking Hitler to only kill jews in Germany, and saying it's okay. Doesn't quite solve the problem in my eyes. It needs to be removed and then left up to the states to decide if they would legalize it.

Before it's reschedueled, or removed, we'll have to have the DEA/Surgeon General ect.. admit that it has SOME medicinal properties.. I doubt we'll be hearing that any time soon.

Why marijuana is still illegal is beyond me, like Katt Williams says, aspirin is perfectly legal but you take 13 of those babies and it will be your last headache, No one has ever had died of an over dose of marijuana. And far as it being a drug, drugs you have to make, you have to put things together, it is not natural these chemicals don't grow in a garden. I am high, just finishing a joint, hope I am making sense. Legalize it already and help bring the economy back. :hippy:
