    Basic Lighting Calculation

    This tool is used to estimate the number of lights you will need, for any given Ballast wattage to adequately illuminate a grow room of a given size. This is not a definitive tool but provides the grower with a starting point.

    1- Enter the watts per square metre required. We recommend you use the maximum of 540.

    2- Enter the length and width of your grow room in metres.

    3- Enter the wattage of the light units to wish to use, ie 250w, 400w, 600w or 1000w.

    4- The results will estimate the number of light units you will need at the wattage you stipulate for the size of room given.

    This tool does not cover the important aspect of the height of the lamps over the plants. Please talk to your local specialist retailer for best advice for your own specific situation. Power Plant Lighting offer the
