    To flower or not?

First grow...Northern lights from Amsterdam Seeds. I'm going on wk. 5 for veg and the plants range from 13" to 16". My grow area is 6'long, 5' wide, and 8 ft. tall. Currently have 2-400w MH and one 400w HPS...when I go to flower I plan on switching a MH for a HPS. My lights are on a timer set at 18-6.

So this is my question; would this be a good time to start rolling back my timer a half our a day to a 12-12 or should I wait?

you'll hear many opinions, and mine is when your plant is 10-12 inches high, i just switch straight to 12/12. but that is for hydro,,,, can't tell if you have soil there.

i would either LST them and flower immediately or LST them and wait another two weeks and then flower them.....if you choose second try week one 17/7 and week 2 16/8 and then flower.... be careful not to put into 12/12 too late and face height problems

some strains will have autoflowered already before the height ur plants are at now. Flowering cycle on now or they may be more stalk and leaves than bud. If u want bigger plants do them like newgroweroldsmoker or just give them 18/6 for 2 days then 12/12

gg double post, but he's right in a way.. Miracle gro is terrible to use.. it doesn't have the right nutrients for the plant. so it does very poorly, invest in some better fertilizer..you'll thank us later

Kinda funny you mentioned that...I noticed after I put them into my mix that they didn't seem right so I have been adding Peters 20-20-20. Since then they have really taken off. I thought the lack of nutrients was due to the sterilizing. Any suggestions in soil for the next batch?

    THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE'S HELP!!!
