    HOW MUCH YEAST AND SUGAR DO I USE WITH A 2 LITRE BOTTLE OF WARM WATER??

    HI ANYONE GOT A CLUE HOW MUCH SUGAR TO USE AND YEAST WHEN TRYING TO CREATE CO2. I WILL BE USING A 2 LITRE BOTTLE UNLESS I SHOULD USE SOMETHING ELSE. I HAVE ALSO HEARD OF GETTING VINEGAR TO DRIP INTO A POT OF BICARBONATE OF SODA, ABOUT A DROP A SECOND AND THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD.

    Mod note: You have started 2 threads with 4 posts and I've had to move both of them from feedback and suggestions to the plant growing forums. It's site feedback and not feedback on your plants. Start your threads in the right forum next time.

    I use a 5 gallon carbouy.
    Anything smaller is a waste of time.

    Put in 4 gallons of Costco's pasteurized fruit juice.
    (The concord grape is good).
    Then boil 1 gallon of water and dissolve 10 pounds of sugar into it and add it to the juice.
    Stir well, thrashing plenty of air into it.
    Then cork it and run a plastic tube out the top and into the bottom of a small jug or jar of plain water. The CO2 will bubble through the water which prevent bacterial contamination from the air.
    If you cork the small jug, you can use 1/4" plastic tubing to route the gas to your grow room.
    With the sugar/juice mixture at room temperature, dissolve two packs of dry wine yeast in a cup of 100 degree F. water with a tablespoon of sugar in it, and let it sit for 15 minutes.
    Just follow the directions on the yeast pack.
    Add the yeast, put it in a dark place and it will produce CO2 for a month.
    The good news? after a month, you will have a by-product.
    5 gallons of surprisingly good grape wine!:thumbsup:

    Enjoy, but don't overdo it.
    With CO2, less it more.

    Regards,
    Weezard

    Sure!
    About 2 pounds of sugar and one pack of yeast.
    You will probably have to heat the water to get the sugar to dissolve.
    Be sure to let it cool down before adding yeast.

    Best.

    Yo greensticky;

    Hope this might help you;

    I use 1/2 gallon plastic container filled with warm (100F) water abt 1/2 full.
    Put 1 package of yeast into it and dissolve. Then put about 6 sugar cubes in it and place in your bloom area. Every couple of days put a couple of more sugar cubes in. Should last 10-14 days. Then dump and start again (it gets funky)

    BTW: the yeast/sugar method sort of self regulates itself.....the warmer it gets, the more it produces.

    6 of these jugs raised the ambient CO2 level to 825 PPM in a 8x9x8 room, at 85-90degrees F. AT 75-80 degrees they produced about 600+ PPM.

    A little past "none" but far from optium. It will make a difference.

    I really prefer Weedzard's method better...you also get wine (or you could do beer).

    Keep in mind if area is at a premium, put that large carboy somewhere else and plumb plastic tubing to your grow area.
    Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic
