    Paulo Coelho

Is anyone else here a big fan of the Brazilian author Paulo Coelho? A close friend suggested I read his novel The Alchemist. As soon as I picked it I couldn't put it down. From then I've been hooked on all his novels. Anyone else dig his work?

I know books are a very personal thing and we can't all like the same things, but I still can't get anything out of his books. I began with the Alchemist and found it a bit lame TBH. It says nothing new, just the same old same old obscured by a very weak teaching tale. The next couple were for me all downhill from there on. As a thinker ten points, as a writer zero, but it's all horses for courses.
