    dont kill my roots

    ne1 have any input on how to get cubes apart without killin the roots? this is a first for me, gettin more then 1 baby in a cube. 3 white widow, 2 headband. I will put pics now. txz any help would be great

    They will pull apart but you will have some damage. The longer you let roots grow the worse the damage. When you say cubes I assume rockwool.

    got it done:thumbsup:. there were very dry, i just pulled them lil by lil. not the big deal, i thought it was. this time:rastasmoke:

    I had some pretty significant root tangles in hydro, before ... I grit my teeth, and just snipped through them, with a big pair of scissors (I soaked them in hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes, first) ... no apparent stress to the plant, plenty stress for me :jointsmile:

    i know wht u mean:rastasmoke: bout the stress. my root wasnt that bad, but damn just havin to pull that shit apart. i c more and more as the dayz go by, why we call them babyz:thumbsup:

    I wouldn't just pull them apart. Stretching the roots to the point of failure isn't optimal. Just the act of stretching them kills the cells all along the length of the root being pulled.

    Having bonsai'd hundreds of cannabis plants, I know that severing the roots is less stressful, and easier to heal from, than just ripping them apart.

    txz for the info. i think i was lucky this time. the roots had not got very far, they all seemed to be grow down, not right or left. i am hopeful it will work-out:rastasmoke:
