hey guys got some questions i got auto akk/bb from lowlife going i have one male he's a biggin and one female who showed herself 2 days ago and one that showed nothing yet probably another female,so my question is how fast do they begin to flower once pre-flowers have been shown??,and im also trying to make seeds thats why the male is still alive.but should i take the male out and wait untill the female has some nice buds then pollinate,what will happen if i just leave them be...if the 3rd one is a female im going to seperate her,or this weekend im going to move the male havent figured it out yet..what should i do im basically doing this grow just for the seeds...should i just leave the male in for about 3 weeks then remove i never did any breeding before with mj...!! well any help would be cool

Depends on strain, lighting schedule, plant condition and rootspace, nutes, additives and temps, among other factors. But once the preflowers show, they are ready for flower from that point forward. If still in veg, they won't flower. If you've switched them to a 12/12 light schedule, there will be an initial stretch, and after about two weeks you'll see them starting to fill-in.

If you leave the male in the same room, and he releases his pollen, you will have buds full of seeds. If you leave him in there, he'll keep throwing-out the pollen, which will stick to every surface in the growroom, the room next to the growroom and your clothes...all of which will have to be dealt with, or future runs will likely become unintentionally seeded.

I use plexiglass panels (about 3' x 1 1/2') and set-up a wind-free zone (a wind block) in the corner of the growroom, and let him keep growing till he start opening the pollen sacs. This isn't a perfect situation, as a few grains always escape, but at least it's not an uncontrolled release.
Once he starts opening 'em, (10 days to 2 weeks) I'll go in, turn off all fans, wait for the air to stop circulating so much in the room, and collect the open (but not yet released) pollen sacs into a little baggie or small plastic container with a lid. Remove the vegetable matter before closing the lid. ('tap all of the pollen off of the pollen sacks, then throw-away everything except the pollen)

I save the pollen in a cool/lightless location till the ladies are mature enough. From there, I'll use a q-tip with most of the fuzzy stuff removed) Carefully dip the q-tip into the pollen, and carefully 'paint' the pistols (hairs) with pollen. Pistols are tubes that catch and cary the pollen down to the ovum. (or is it ova) Anyway, the two make an embryo. (a seed) One hair plus one grain of pollen equals one seed. (some folks don't know this stuff)

If you want buds full of seeds, paint all of the pistols on all of the plant. But if you want your seeds, and to smoke the buds too...paint only the lower-third of the plant's pistols. (not the lower third of the pistol, but the lower third of the plant) Keeps the best part of the plant (mostly) unseeded. Might be a couple of seeds, but if you were careful with your pollen, it won't be a nightmare. Don't sneeze.

Also, it's better to collect pollen all at once, then destroy the male, and double-bag him. (the pollen is still viable) Leaving the male in with the ladies, means a continuous supply of pollen. all over the room. Any time you move something, or the fans hit it, more pollen is added to the air. This can mean that although some seeds are fully developed and viable, you'll likely end-up with shitloads of those annoying immature little 'popcorn' seeds that explode in your pipe. Just like popcorn, the seed has a little tiny drop of water in it. When the heat expands this water, it explodes like popcorn. (in case anyone was interested why they explode)

thanks alott buddy im going to just leave him in there,as the 3rd plant i have still isnt showing me wether she is a she or a he so im just going to put it outside in next 2 weeks and infest my first lady with the male.as i do want lots of seeds plust doing it this way i will still have smokable bud just not alot,,and im not really going to lose out on anything as this grow was a seed-run grow so all is good.....BUT why hasnt my other one showed sex yet its funny because the one that did was the mutated one lol diffrent weird leaves as to the other one was identical to the male..hmm idk i read to breed the first male and first female to show so that is what im going to do...plus save the pollen like u said and pollinate a branch or 2 on the other one just in case that is the big momma haha...well now since its pre-flowers shown when does the bud start to form? but thanks for the first reply very good info

Patience.
My guess is that the breeder didn't back-cross the strain, so you are seeing two expressions...one from the original mom, one from the original dad.
Not unusual or unexpected...happens all the time.

Back-crossing is a technique used to stabilize desirable traits into the genetics. If you cross indica plant A with sativa plant B, you'll get a small variety of different expressions from the resulting seeds. Some will be stretchy indica's, some will be squat sativa's, and some will be a combo. Back-crossing helps to resolve the genetic wanderings.

Choose the traits that most resemble the strain you are trying to continue, or the strain will no longer be the same as the one that you purchased, and genetics can degrade. (an oversimplification, but hopefully the point isn't lost)

ok so say these are diff phenos if im correct thats what you mean by traits???then these seeds that im making will either come out sativa or indica dominate in feature grows..now with the offspring of these 2 plants being "mated' if i take one indica male and one indica female the results will have indica traits and vice versa with the sativa plants...then i can keep an indica dom and a sativa strain going and then if i breed indica and sativa together i will get a mixture say 50/50....

Yea thats basically the deal.In my case i take the biggest,fastest flowering male and female and breed them.Then the kids will be big and fast.

thanks alot guys alotta stuff i read on here is complicated to understand because ppl get all in depth and scientific on this stuff,,i just need a straight answear wich you 2 have gave me so far so thanks......i wanna add pics but theres nothing really special to see and the last plant still hasne shown itself so im think it may be a late bloomer that im just going to put outside in 2 weeks and see what happens.......and i think my female has began making a seed already one of the hairs curled in and theres a fat bubble starting to form..hmmm will no for sure soon well thanks alot guys and i will deff ad pics later on today or ahh i will take some right now!!!ok ok pics arent the best just a cam phone but 1st one is the male sacs everywheres,2nd one is unknown,3rd is the female, the m/f have been pulled down a tiny bit and last pic is the seed stash,original purple haze and i do mean original......mango,skunk,some very good bag seed from some good high end mids...and some from some white strain.....but thats all for now sorry pics arent good

the sprouts are more ak/bb autos,4 mango and the d/d cup is one haze seed the others are in diffrent room...

some may think im odd using d&d cups but they work wonders i poke few holes in bottom and the cup lets air in and makes good enviroment for the seedlings,just dont plant the cup in the dirt big NONO...they are biodegradeable<misspelled>but still dont do it...most of all my seedlings are planted in these cups did a few cuttings as well and between the party cups and d/d cups the d/d cups worked much better just some fyi for you guys
