So then do you need another fan for the light? The exhasut fan would be connected to the carbon filter, but a second fan would be needed to exhaust the light?

uhm... what? what do you mean by exhaust the light?

the only way you could 'exhaust light' would be through using a light conductive material like optical plastics or by using an elaborate series of mirrors...

thats exactly what you don't want to do... any light inside your grow area you want trapped inside your grow area, and any light trying to enter your grow area from outside you want to block from entering the grow area (at least during your dark cycles)....
