If I am correct you are talking bout light a cool tube/air cooled hood.? If so just run you exhaust to bring cooler air straight to the tube/hood, then get a duct Y adapter on the other side this will allow you to take heat from the light straight out the box. And is also pulling the hot air in box/closet out also as hot air rises. Than hook your carbon filter up to this an than your fan. Another way if you wanna do it is have your exhaust system ran directly threw the light. Then have a passive intake with an exhaust fan just pulling hot air out the top wit filter on that. If you got sealed hood I don't think you would need a carbon filter on that exhaust but not 100% sure. Hope this helps you out if not good luck figuring out your set up.

Yea I was looking into the sealed hoods, but that means I would also need to run an exhaust system with a filter hooked on for smell also right?
