fan/ventilation question

If I am correct you are talking bout light a cool tube/air cooled hood.? If so just run you exhaust to bring cooler air straight to the tube/hood, then get a duct Y adapter on the other side this will allow you to take heat from the light straight out the box. And is also pulling the hot air in box/closet out also as hot air rises. Than hook your carbon filter up to this an than your fan. Another way if you wanna do it is have your exhaust system ran directly threw the light. Then have a passive intake with an exhaust fan just pulling hot air out the top wit filter on that. If you got sealed hood I don't think you would need a carbon filter on that exhaust but not 100% sure. Hope this helps you out if not good luck figuring out your set up.:thumbsup:

Yes, basically you need an intake for fresh air and an outtake for the hot air to be pushed out the grow room. The outtake pushing the hot air out would be connected to an carbon filter which dissipates the smell at the same time as getting the hot air out.

I was looking at the same hood he has LOL...But I think I want to run like 2 600watt HPS in line and then connect it to a scrubber on the outside....Would I still only need 1 inline fan?

Hahaha you gonna need some serious ventilation with two 600 hps. How big of a space do you have to grow in LxWxH. one 600w hps will increase heat a decent amount itself but 2... It is possible as long you got the space and you will need more then 1 fan for your ducting belive that. I say start with one 600 and go from there.

What about just running them in a line and having a more powerful fan on the end? I mean I expect my flowering room to be at least 7ft wide x 7ft tall

You are gonna need serious ventilation a 600w produce heat. You will need serious cfm's on your fan. I do not belive 1 fan will cut it for the room. Just remember heat will either make you or break you.:thumbsup:

Do you have the lights already? If not, get one, and try the sucker out. This will give you a good idea on what you can and can't do from there. Otherwise it's just speculation.

7 x 7 is a very small room for two 600w lights, and they would likely need the heat exhausted aggressively. (unless you live in Alaska or Siberia)
